I thought you were insinuating that I was talking about Microsoft cutting their price again, in a preemptive maneuver, since 90% of my post dealt with what MS should do, not Sony.

Now, if you want to go back to Sony's profits, and a price cut hurting them further (so yes, I was insinuating that Sony needs to drop their price): Is it really going to help Sony if their stubborn on the PS3's price, and developers drop their support for the PS3 wholesale? That's what I'm afraid of: Sony may refuse to cut the price in vain, only doing it when it's too late, and the system has very tenuous 3rd party support, if any.

If developers/publishers are threatening to drop the PS3/HD support for the Wii, I would be worried if I was Sony or Microsoft, hence why I said that MS needs to move to secure more 3rd party games. There may be a scenario to where developers decide to move the bulk of their support away from even multi-plat games, and just favor the Wii, or favor Wii60 development.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.
