With the recent release of Halo Wars, let's make a offical thread to discuss all things Halo Wars.
This is a thread for those who have either.
- Purchased Halo War
- Plan to purchase Halo Wars in the near future.
This is not a thread to discuss the possibility of Halo Wars being Ported to the PC or any other system for that matter. Let's keep this entire thread about Halo Wars and how good or bad you think it is.
Anyway, my thoughts on Halo Wars? I'm actually really blown away by the full product. I bought the demo and played it half to death, playing the first two campaign missions and beating them repeatedly. Also playing 1 v 1 on heroic AIs in skirmish, however the full game is absolutely amazing. I find the control to be absolutely amazing, plus its really neat to hear what the individual soldiers say during combat, my personal favorites.
"Alright, the best drivers out there are spartans!"
"Noob!"
"That elite is Raging!"
As for strategy, I've been deploying a very rapid warthog rush. So far out of like 10 games, I've been beaten once using this. Had alot of help in 2 v 2. Ask 1337 gamer really. Most players seem to be alot slower at the controls in multiplayer, or they don't cordinate well. I'm hoping that problem gets solved as the game's life continues forth. Definately a great game, you should pick it up if you havn't and are a RTS fan.
