^Something I've been saying for years.
Our industry is one of the few that is so misunderstand by it's own consumers. Go to an automitve enthusiast web site and you'll find hundreds that know vehicles in great detail (sure, idiots too) as well as their media magazines and news web sites.
Those with intimacy within the video game industry cringe at the ignorance displayed by a high percentage of forum members and even the video game media (which are largely one and the same anyway).
