Actually Europe faces a lot of the same problems the U.S. does, at least financially. The cultural dynamics are quite a bit different though.

The main immigrants to Europe are Muslims. They are moving from a very religious culture to a very secular culture. Many Muslims have had trouble integrating into that society. Many European citizens are worried that the Muslim value system is in many ways incompatible with their own.

A lot of muslims I know intergrate quite well with English culture. It is true that the country is secular and religion is largely redundant here, however, they are often active in their own communities for religious fulfilment and outside of their communities they very adaptable people so it works very well for them.

-edit-

I think the reason for this is that England does not intefere largely with peoples religious beliefs and religious societies.
