I have heard rumours that Japanese tutors are telling students to get DS for the vast range of educational software available for it, theres already a handful of language trainers, something that the japanese are very keen on. Its not like theyre letting the kids trade pokemon in class.
As far as the PSP having better games, it has better versions of PS2 games and multiformat franchises, but if nobody wants to play those games whats the point. theres far more to a handheld than offering home console games on a small screen.
Sony still dont seem to understand this tho, GoW for example, great home console game, I doubt it will work on handheld.
The PSP has lost all chance of competing now, very few developers are going to choose it over the DS.
50 mill is veruy impressive and the predictions of another 10mill in the next 4 months puts the wii/360 sales in a rather dim light!
