Yeah, the Labor Department under Bush was doing so little in terms of following up on those claims. I mean I can understand being against unions, but they were just sitting there letting employers violate all kinds of federal laws and just looking the other way.
Same thing with environmental policies, same thing with the financial markets. I mean seriously, what were all those government departments even doing under Bush? Even the Department of Homeland Security had its thumb up its ass.
I like Obama so far as President because he is a multi-tasker. He doesn't seem to get bogged down very easily. I mean he's accomplished more in 50 days than some President's do in their first year in office.
Fundamentally remapped our anti-terrorism policies
Passed a spending bill that would have made Bill Clinton blush.
Passed a children's healthcare bill.
Sent more troops to Afghanistan.
Taken a much different approach to negotiations involving Israel, including appearing on Arab television (completely unheard of)
Significantly improved relations with Russia
Revamped some labor laws
Proposed a budget with major overhauls on healthcare and education
Reversed stem cell research policy.
