- Since when to amazing reviews always guarantee amazing game sales? There are some great games that get completely ignored when it comes to sales.
Yeah... you're talking about Okami, Shadow OTC, Ico... = Niche genre.
But Killzone is a FPS. And in the states, FPS+REALISTIC GRAPHICS+BLOOD usually sells. - So what you're saying is despite the fact that it's tracking higher then Resistance 2 tracked in sales, it's still failing to live up to the expectations of Sony fans?
Resistance 2 bombed. Please find another game. - The name Halo is enough to guarantee that people are going to buy it. Also, Halo Wars does have advertisements. While they aren't nearly as frequent as Killzone 2, they still exist.
I never talked about Halo Wars. Strange... - The reason the PS3 seems to have difficulty in making 1 specific genre is because there is a lot of diversity in the PS3 audience. Not everybody that owns a PS3 loves shooters. The PS3 has people who own it that like shooters, rpg's, racers, sports, and other games as well. I personally didn't buy Killzone 2. I hope it does well because the PS3 needs a decent selling game.
Again, the PS3 isn't the PS2... the PS3 diversity is nowhere as big as the Xbox360 one.
More RPGs? Xbox 360
More RTS? Xbox 360
More Sports? Xbox 360
Biggest game collection? Xbox 360
More vintage arcade games? Xbox 360 - Since when does having a game take forever to release guarantee that it's going to sell astronomically? There are games like Gran Turismo and Killzone that turn out well but there are a great deal of games that tend to do terrible due to being pushed back and making people wait too long for them.
But... But... IT'S KILLZONE 2!!!!
The biggest game of the decade!!!
I actually prefer Halo Wars because i like RTS games more then FPS's but in all honesty, acting as if Killzone is doing terrible, and then attributing it to the fact that it's on the PS3 is trolling. I'm tired of hearing "They should have made it for the 360" and crap like that. It's also ridiculous because Guerilla Games is owned by Sony in the first place. e.e
I never said "They should have made it for the 360".
Make it clear.
I just pointed out the difference between the userbases buying habits.
I bought Killzone 2 on my PS3 and I'm enjoying it.
On the other hand, the Xbox360 doesn't need Killzone to succeed.
