This is why it just isn't that big of a deal. After all the DS may not be able to create an essay you can print and turn in, but at a fraction of the cost for a laptop with many of the same features, it surely isn't a horrible action.

Plus, I bet if you already have the DS or DSi you won't get the loaned school model.
