Correction - they haven't done it THUS FAR. Remember, RE5 has been in development for approx 4 years now. Kind of big scale. Capcom didnt admit to ignoring the Wii until last year. Who is to say that they won't start doing exactly what I suggested after RE5 is launched? It might take another year or 2, but I wouldn't say it will NEVER happen, at least not this early. Sure, that's an optomistic answer. The pessimisitc answer - Art director. The art director/producer may feel the "cinematic" flair of RE5 is best not to be reduced in any form, and refuses to do such. Artists are moody people, its best not to piss them off. So the art director may have thrown a sh*t fit upon being asked to scale anything down for a Wii version. Most of the Capcom forum people that are employees tend to be bored PR people, who are out of the loop until end term marketing and hype. They dont know anything about engine specs either.

I guess we'll see in time, albeit if it was really feasible to put these PS360 porjects on the Wii at all I'd be sure more companies would do it. Would it not be just as 'easy' for Square Enix to port FFXIII, or EA port Dead Space, or Capcom port Dead Rising (Rather then rebuild the whole game from scratch on the Wii with the RE4 engine).
Your hyperbole made the whole thing sound like it could easily have been done ready for launch. Personally I think it'd make more sense to put all 3 to launch together if there was any plan to do it - can share the same marketing budget.
Maybe if it's possible it'll become a trend for future developers? Seems like a short term investment to me though.
