They went into their shells, to make some "long-term" development games on purpose - and gave 3rd-parties some time/room to flourish on the Wii (overall, it just hasn't happened - they have neglected the platform, putting their effort into the HD consoles instead). Just wait for April... |
That is the real travesty here. Its all been wasted and following the announcement of UC2 i don't even know if EA are genuine anymore. Does it not seem reasonable that doing Dead Space on rails is the same exact modus operandi as Capcom?
Infact it is this lazyness that will ultimately force my hand on a 360 this yr.
Well i guess the third parties won then
“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.
