So, my Xbox 360 hard-drive, 120 gig has served me very faithfully the last year. However, as of late while playing Tales of Vesperia. I've noticed several of my game-saves has now shown up as corrupt. I took little heed to these, as they were mostly old game-saves and thankfully my second playthough save is completely in tact. However, I was shocked to find out I'll have to replay Saints Row 2.

Even more-so, now with star-ocean 4. About half the saves I attempt, turn out Corrupt requiring me to attempt to save again. This can be quite fustrating as I may attempt to save 3, and even once 4 times before the save completes.

My hard-drive is about 97% full. I have only 4 or 5 gigs remaining on it and was wondering the curious question. Is there any way to repair my hard-drive so I stop losing data and stop saving corrupted files? Or, should I go out and buy a new 120 gig hard-drive? Or, should I wait it out as the problem isn't critical yet to see if the xbox 360 rumors are true and perhaps a bigger harddrive comes out?

This problem is very concerning and any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Edit - This may have something to do with the problem, but my brother enjoys visiting my house. When he does, he brings his 20 gig harddrive with him. Pops it in and enjoys his saved games on my xbox. I am curious as if the act of removing my own harddrive, just to re-insert it later could be causing problems. Dust perhaps?
