Alright in 1998 the main ones I see are 1080 Snowboarding as being the only main release that was new. Of course this would fit right in line with the craze on Wii as it would work perfectly for it.
Now in 1999, there are more. Remember it's stating when a legacy began and there are some noteable games who's legacy started in 1999. Series such as Mario Party and Super Smash Bros.
Consider Smash just had a release we can cross that out. My best guess is if this is to be trusted as something big, it's either talking about 1080 Snowboarding or Mario Party both which would be likely to see a wii release or another one in Mario Party's case.
