How do I get files off an old laptop hard drive?

Go to Compusa / Tigerdirect  .com  (they are the same site)

Find an IDE, or SATA, PC / Notebook Connector like this one.

And save your self allot. Like the post above...

(Note the link and the pic take you to an IDE connector... You might need Sata if it's an 06... maybe.. most likely you need the IDE tho.)
