I know 56 are from mitch mcconell. I'm pretty sure there is a 60-40 split democrat/reublican earmarks. Only a total of four people didn't put on any earmarks 2 democrats 2 republicans I think.
Yeah he lied-The only way a president could ensure no earmarks with any bill is a line item veto and that would probably give the pres too much power.
Did republicans put in earmarks so they could vote against the bill, or because they knew that the bill would pass and that their constiuency would want those earmarks? A follow up, do most people even look at who puts in earmarks?
