Yea, I learned the lesson the hard way myself. I had a hard cased suitcase (old school Samsonite) and it was thrown around so much that one end actually busted out. They repaired the suitcase but told me my GCN didn't matter since it was electronics. I padded it down with lots of clothes and everything and it made the trip to Tenn. fine but not the trip back (when all the damage was done to the suitcase). The GCN would turn on but couldn't read disc. I just sucked it up and bought another GCN because I didn't feel like sending it in and GCN weren't too expensive at that time. Later on, I was just messing around with the old GCN when I was bored one day and I kept touching the lens reader plastic thing moved it up and down. Well it must have been stuck or something because after I messed around with it, it started reading disc again. So I sold it to one of my friends for dirt cheap. I should have probably kept both because I have the purple one now and the other was black. The black would have gone better with my GBA player for the GCN.
