After seeing this game paraded around as one of those 'underappreciated classics' after playing this game I can see it has it's black sheep reputation for a reason. While by no means a bad game, it lacks the usual polish that compliments the other games, a frustrating control scheme and an unmemorable and sometimes irritating musical score makes this by far the weakest official entry in the series to me.

how dificult can jump and stab be?

I found jump to be somewhat clumsy due to a very poorly implemented momentum mechanic that felt extreemely imprecise when the game required navigation of platforms. Standard stabbing is fine but when it came to sheilded enemies the game seemed to have trouble reading my movements and kept moving link backwards and forwards instead of ducking and stabbing. Even when  I should have landed a successfull hit the collision detection was very poor and many of my hits didn't register.

You just suck lol. The controlls are fine. The hit detection is fine also. You do know that they are covered in armor. You only have 3 spots where you can hit them, 2 of those get covered by the shield at differnt points. Try using the jump spell and jumping over them and stabbing them in the back before you land.
