The data is presumably compiled from NA, where (in terms of sales) Wii>360>PS3 and you would actually expect to see the wii with a higher online representation, based on sales. It doesn't tell you anything about what percentage of the 5,000 owned each console, or really anything relavant at all, other than that more people played games online this year than last. Thats really one of the greatest things about statistics: you can manipulate data to show what you want it to show. Its up to us to weed through the BS. |
yes trying to. it would help alot if they gave us a percentage of each console in the 20000 polled. thats why i took the market share. i dont have a better way. but it statistically easier for the wii to be in the poll because of how many owners there are. one thing that would effect the poll is how they found the pool. if they went to a mall and asked passer byers the market share would be a reasonable way to find the splits. if they went online the hd consoles might have more people
