What is there to make sense of, you take a random sample of users a large number like a few thousand, ask them questions, and then compare... simple it... it's how stats are made, it's not like when they say "__% of people in the world eat meat" they didn't ask everyone in the world they asked a sample of people... how hard is that?

lol.. like the fact that the article doesnt tell you how many wii, 360, and ps3 owners were polled. so i took the market percentages. got a better way of guwessing at random numbers?
