Do Wii games look as good on 720 p screens as they do on sd tv's?

 Sometimes things do look a bit dark and I have to play with the tv's settings.  It doesn't have an actual brightness control but a black level thing.  I'll admit it doesn't look as good as some of those snazzy 1080's I've seen at Wal~Mart, but I think its functional.  And I really wouldn't know if it wasn't because it's not like I go gaming at other people's houses that have much better sets.
