Ummm, I've had gum surgery where they took some of the gum from the roof of my mouth and sewed it onto the gums on my teeth. They were too low; apparently it's some genetic thing and it was a risk, so I had to have the surgery. I hate to say it, but it hurt so freaking bad, I was crying because of the pain.
Everything's fine now, but man, I hated that. I have heard that other people didn't think it hurt bad at all, so maybe it just depends on how well they did or just on the person.
I know this isn't quite what you're going to have, but it's similar so I just thought I'd share.
