What is with the hostility of PC gamers towards console gamers?

The hostility definitely goes both ways. Your opening post is in a tone which implies console supporters are gems of impartiality, and free of bias.  This is certainly not true, especially when you see someone say gaming rigs cost incredible amounts of money and must be upgraded constantly.

 

I know that you can hook your PC up to your TV. I like being in my room with my theatre setup though. The PC way is no longer comfortable for me. The hostility doesn't go both ways. Gamers end up being victims in arguments all the time. I've never seen a gamer jump on a PC gamer for no reason. I'm not discounting the fact of its existence, but i'm just saying that i've never seen it. If seen harsh defense on the part of gamers, but not verbally pouncing by any stretch of the imagination.
