I feel like I should defend Resident Evil 4 as I really like the game and have beaten it multiple times.  You guys say the game is repetitive.  This is true since it is a shooter game and almost every shooter game has the problem of feeling repetitive at times.  I felt that RE4, however, somehow made each area have something unique that made you play it a little different that the area before.  This is opposed to games like DOOM3, which was basically step #1: walk around.  step #2: shoot at stuff.

It's hard to describe what makes RE4 feel non-repetitive for me, it just does.

I never said that RE4 was repetitive, and if I did - I was wrong. It's pretty un-repeitive. The enemy changes a lot, and you're hardly ever in the same enviornment. It's one of the least repetitive shooters I've played (other than Metroid and online shooters, I can't think of any less repetitive) I've ever played.

So you're correct on that part.

Honestly, I never should have bought the game. I dislike it, but it's still (by far) my favourite horror game. I like happy, cheerful games that I smile while playing. I don't mind playing games like GTA, but Resident Evil is almost the exact opposite of how I like my games. RE4 does, by no means fit me, so I don't know why I'm complaining. I mean, I enjoyed it for almost 10 hours, and considering the price, it was almost worth the money.

It's a well created game, and the flaws are really pretty minor, so I should just shut the eff up and let the people who like the genre enjoy it.

I would never call RE4 a horror game.  It is not scarry.  Gritty, realistic and creepy (at times), yes, just not scarry.
