Odd, Metacritic has it at 56, while GamesRankings has it at 62.25. What's really strange is that they both use the same 4 reviews. Nintendo Power 8 GameDaily 7 Gamervision 6 IGN 3.9 |
Metacritic uses weighting while gamerankings does not. Gamerankings just eliminates reviews it considers suspect. So that 39 from IGN weighs especially heavy on Sonic's metacritic score.
And to think people hold these measurements up as impartial. What arbitrary system do they use to decide which arbitrary score is more important?

"The worst part about these reviews is they are [subjective]--and their scores often depend on how drunk you got the media at a Street Fighter event." — Mona Hamilton, Capcom Senior VP of Marketing
