A week or two is not a trend imo. Yakuza 3 is like a Halo level game for Japan. Killzone 2 is like Gears of War level game for the US/Europe. Everyone knew that sales would go up. The question is has the bar been raised or are these just spikes?
If the PS3 is still #1 in Japan (or at least is still selling within 80% of its current spike) by the second week of April, i'll say it looks like a trend. Looking at the latest VGchartz numbers for US/Europe, KZ2 seems too have put the PS3 barely above the 360 in Others and still trailing in the US. I'll wait for next week for to see how the numbers pan out, but if its still similar, I don't think Killzone 2 marks the sign of anything that MGS4 didn't already prove: a PS3 game can crack the Top 5 if its a super megaton level game.
