People on this site make too much of a big deal about JRPG's.
Don't you realize the best selling games every gen aren't RPG's, but they're racing games (gran turismo), shooting games (halo, Gears, Grand theft auto), and platformers (Mario).
JRPG's are important, but not as important as shooters/drivers/platform.
This gen Playstations biggest games are Metal Gear Solid, Call of duty, Grand Theft Auto, Uncharted, Motorstorm, LBP and Resistance. Like I said shooting, driving, and Platforming.
Wii's biggest are MK Wii, SMG, and SSBB. Driving, Platform, and a fighting game.
360's biggest are Forza, Halo, Gears, Call of Duty. Shooting and driving.
So you get where I'm going with this? JRPG's aren't important in a consoles success. People like jumping, driving, and shooting.
