Sonic Collection + This controller = Heaven?

I was thinking about picking up the Sonic Collection on the PS3 because it is only $30, then I came across this on eBay. I always thought these were very hard to find, but now I see them everywhere and for cheap ever since SFIV came out.

I will most likely not pick up SFIV, but would this be a great pickup to use with the Sonic Mega Collection or whatever it is called on the PS3?
