Buyouts happen, takeovers happen, franchises become less popular.
The competition this gen is more fierce than ever, sony are feeling the heat (1994-2006 Sony were unstoppable, now they are a mere shadow of them former selves)
A lot of those sony "published" games simply would not make the grade this gen.
