It's not like you have to stick your arm straight out to play a FPS on the Wii. Metroid has some of the best first person controls in existence and that game definetly doesn't require you to hop all over the place.
Games like Wii Sports, Wario Ware and similar games encourage you to get off your lazy ass and play. For those of us that aren't embarassed to hop around like idiots it's great. I still play Wii sports once in awhile when people come over, it's alot of fun.
