I loved the Sega Dreamcast, a pity it died before its time, but if there are ever too many hardware companies in the industry, the market will determine who is to survive. If Sega re-enters the hardware market and it becomes crowded, it will adjust. Consumer spending will determine how that pans out.
At any rate, I wasn't speaking directly to you in my original post, but your post did seem somewhat biased after readng it.
Also note, I have a launch 360. It RROD(ed) once. I turned it off, unplugged it...then plugged it back in, and it's been playng fine since.
I'm not a fanboy, I just try to tip the balance in favor of logic and common sense.
