I am puzzled about the comment about imprecise control since in Boom Blox you actually lock the aiming point and the physics will respond to the hit occuring in that precise location. I'm not really sure how any game could have more precise control than that. If you missed that point, I can see where you would not care for the game. If you master the controls, the challenge of figuring the exact aiming point in more and more complex puzzles will provide a great deal more than a few hours entertainment.
Treat it like a target practice game with elaborate targets and it will get old very fast. Treat it as a physic problem game and you'll enjoy for a long time.
