To me, a 6.5 is about average, or slightly above. Not a bad game, but not a great one either. It's pretty close to what Nintendo Power and Game Daily rated it, and remember that it's two 7s and 2 6s. So excluding IGN, you have an 8, 7, 7, 7, 6, 6, plus the review from GAD-JIT (I've never heard of them, which is why I don't really care about their score; it's just the only other review I could find).
It shows that opinions are varied about this game, but the overall impression is that it's a well-made one.
