Morality of Killing Animals

I am not morally opposed to the killing of cows, if they will be used for a good purpose, and if it is done humanely (not the kind where their throats are slit and they bleed to death crying), but I've also cut back almost entirely on my cow intake for the sake of the atmosphere. That's a different moral choice though. The amount of cows we currently have are killing the atmosphere by wasting water, wasting plants (which wasted water because they were grown just to be cow food), and creating too much methane. At this point, with that information, eating cows is really selfish.

The U.N. said everybody could make a difference in our atmosphere just by going vegetarian a single day of the week. It's healthier for your body, and it's healthier for the planet.

Regarding bugs, fuck 'em. They have no tear ducts, which means they don't cry, which means they have no souls anyway. Especially spiders, the only thing on this planet I would call evil. They make traps, and they make multiple kinds. Webs, trap doors, and demented combinations. I would gladly exterminate every spider on the planet. Frogs would replace them as the bug-eating champions of the food chain. We'd just have to do our part by eating way more frog legs so they don't take over the planet.

Anyway, I say that if you're going to use it for something useful, go ahead and kill an animal because they're not self-aware anyway. But killing animals (or any non-harmful organism for that matter) for no reason at all is wasteful and you shouldn't do it.
