Mithos from Tales of Symphonia is probably my pick.

That's kind of odd, was it for lameness or weakness?

I'd have to say Dracula from PoR: he just gets back in his castle, then dies after a horribly dissapointing final battle. Not even having Death as a tag-partner helped....

General uncoolness. I'm sure he was "powerful" or what have you, but he was completely uncompelling, non-threatening, and had no believable sense of motive.

Also he was just very, very badly written.

Eh, I always thought his twist was supposed to explain every possible motive he could have to the player, and it feels like he was supposed to be a shell of a human being anyway.

"Believable" is really the operative word there.

Nothing quite like a Japanese RPG preaching to me about xenophobia and racism, I tell you what.

Even if he were interesting as a concept, he was very poorly written.
