@euphoria: well i'm asking about the sony thing.... i'm not really sure.

@Avarice: well a game that has been under development for so long, that was supposed to be da BOMB, that people were claiming was another AAA, that was gonna help sony pushed consoles, the savior..... well, a little on the down side. i don't think this are really low sales, just meh sales. I thought it was gonna sell a lil bit more

720,000 copies in two days is not bad, between america and europe a total of 4 days.  In most peoples book it is outstanding, maybe I am "not" understanding what is good and not good when it comes to sales.  Star ocean sold like 132,000 in japan and people were like wow and then killlzone 2 quadruples this number and people are like "meh!" Maybe it is just people have unreal expectations or would never admit the truth that killzone did the damn thing like it was suppose to.

I think the problem was that some people were comparing it or expecting it to challenge Halo3. These people were ridiculously silly.

KZ2 sales are very good. It should do fairly well for itself. I guess some of the pressure comes from silly fanboy expectations, but the majority of PS3 owners expected around this number. And there is nothing wtrong with a sequel to a poor first game posting 720,000 sales in 2 days. In fact thats very good. :)

I think some of the unrealistic expectation could stem from the fact that a new shooter IP in the form of the original Gears Of War outperformed Killzone (just) on a significantly lower userbase.  Obviously the PS3 and 360 userbase have different gaming tastes so its not fair to judge performance exactly in comparison.  I think the sales were good regardless, just not outstanding.
