Hey all Wii owners.

because Nintendo are more tight lipped than MS and Sony about manufacturing methods for their consoles, I'm trying to determine how much cost cutting has been done to the Wii since launch, and to see if I can identify where they have, for example, switched to a differenet Manufacturing size (ie 90nm to 65 nm to 45 nm)

So if you could all look at the underside of your Wii, and tell me

Model No

Power Rating on the Wii itself

Date and place of purchase (I don't need a specific day, Month or quarter is fine. Don't go by seasons, because they differ around the world)

Also look on the power brick and type both the input and output exactly

So for me it would be

Model no - REV-001(AUS)

Power Rating on the Wii = 12V 45W

Date and Country of purchase = Launch unit from Australia

Power Brick input230-240V 50Hz 52W

Output 12V 3.7A

Thanks for your time, and check back to see the astounding results later on.

Actually, I may post them in a new thread, if I do I'll link to it from here
