RE 4 on the PS 2 was a port of a year-old game. It sold 370K+ in Japan + America when it launched on the Gamecube : this on a system with not a very large demographic for survival horror. RE 5 also has RE 4's incredible reputation behind it, don't underestimate the significance of that momentum.
