Reviewers should review the game as it is, not what they think it ought to be (because if so, then you'll only concentrate on what the game is "missing" and not on what the game has). Blind nostalgia is an unreachable standard.

I agree that nostalgia is an issue with any and all franchises.

However, I think most of the problems lied with the bad motion controls. From the review at least. I haven't played it.

 

The reviews seem to complain simply about having to use motion controls, not whether they are reliable or responsive.
