I really dont like blu-ray because i cant justify paying $40 for a movie that would cost me $20 to buy in DVD. Plus BR killed HD-DVD and for that i can never forgive it :( that is until the movies become cheaper :) |
I bought the 2 disc Hulk Blu-ray set for $24 on Amazon. Typical to point out Blu-ray worst case scenario to paint a false picture. Besides, Blu-ray didn't kill HD-DVD. Toshiba, the consumers, and Warner brothers did that. Toshiba was selling their players so low that it was hardly worth anyone else to invest in the player technology. Consumers were holding off on buying movies on optical fomat because they were seeing where the format war was heading. Because of that WB saw a 5% decrease in DVD sales in Christmas of 06. So they decided to help end the format war by supporting Blu-ray exclusivesly. These are the facts. Besides, what if Blu-ray did single handedly destroy HD-DVD (which it didn't)? Someone had to come out on top...
Hackers are poor nerds who don't wash.
