Nice post and yeah Wii is unique and that's why I like it so much. It's hard to compare with the other consoles... They don't really have the same purpose and not the same gameplay experiance. It's also true that it doesn't directly compete with 360 and PS3 but it's still a console. So I still put it in the same category.
Like some other people said, the DS didn't had that much great games at first but when more and better games came out, 3rd parties realised the potential it has (and how much money they can make with it). I guess Wii will be the same, we just have to be patient.
