I am 20 years old and a little on the scrawny side (my BMI is just in the underweight range according to Wii Fit) and it has helped me a lot in my aim to gain a bit of muscle. I have started eating 3 meals a day again, which I often missed out on, and this is because i observed that when I skipped a meal I lost weight. I have mostly been focussing on Balance games, and have dramatically improved my balance. well, it's not technically balance that improves when you play Wii Fit, it's the strength of the muscles in your feet and ankles |
Personally I do not put too much stock in the BMI rating within Wii Fit, or otherwise. It does not take into account muscle density for example. I've always had really muscular legs and shoulders, and now at 185 lbs, I am pretty much at my ideal weight. According to the BMI however, I am just at the cusp of being overweight. I personally am not truly overweight until I hit 210 lbs though (according to the doc).
