In short, I am in my mid twenties and work at a bank, so I spend a lot of my time sitting. The last few years has seen me put on some weight, and as of my last physical, my blood chemistry--mainly my triglycerides--was a little too high and my High-Density lipoprotein--HDL or the "Good Cholesterol--was too low. I was not fat by any means, but was a little overweight (6'1" and 215 lbs)
I live in Northern Alberta (that's in Canada for those of you that do not know), and thus, this time of year it is hard to be active outside, considering its pretty cold this time of year. Combining better eating habits, and Wii Fit, for which I finally found in January, has led me to losing over 30 pounds.
Say what you will about Wii Fit, but for me, I find its a great way to keep me motivated to work out, especially in Winter.
On a seperate note, my wife got me House of the Dead Overkill for my birthday last week. All I can say is this game is fantastic, and I think it takes the HOTD series in a much needed new direction. I rarely find myself laughing at video game attempts at humour (save for the Sam n' Max series, Day of the Tentacle, and some of the Space Quest games), but I find myself howling with laughter at this game's script. Alot of it has to do with the delivery from the voice actors; good voice acting is a well needed change from previous arcade entries in the series. Not to mention the gameplay is a blast.
