This appears to be Matt complaining that something in the world is not the way he thinks it should be.
If you take Sonic out and make it a generic character, say like Timber the Tiger, I wonder what the score would be.
I would trust the Nintendo Power review. It seems to be fairly well-balanced in its examination of games (its average is actually slightly lower than IGN's average review score, according to GameRankings -- Unfortunately, I can't figure out if you can do comparisons by console on the new architecture).
 I am Mario.I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk.
