Perhaps some Bioshock influence in the armor, but it's kind of a stretch.
As me and my friends frequently discuss, Steampunk is becoming the "in" thing quickly. Not sure if we like it, because some movies and games could really ruin it, just like cyberpunk got old after The Matrix got popular.
Don't know if steampunk's really in this game, but I guess his armor is pretty...unique.

Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release. (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )
