Except apparently the core gamers. The ones who stuck by the company and invested in thier products during N64/GC era when Sony & MS stole the show. The last core game was Disaster: Day of Crises which nintendo didn't even bother promoting or marketing and may not even see a US release. The last proper title was Super Smash Bros Brawl (Mario Kart is a 'bridge' title tbh, not really core or expanded but a happy medium, like Animal Crossing). Re-releasing GC games don't count because to core gamers thier old news and a further sign Nintendo would rather rerelease then attempt innovation or risk by doing any form of core game. Making games for a new 'expanded' audience is fine and good, but they're not the only audience. Nintendo seems to be forgetting that. |
I must agree on almost everything with you, but I strongly suggest you to wait until E3 or whatever. I'm sure Nintendo still have a good amount of core games.
