Sony's situation is pretty stable right now (the difference in sales hasn't changed too much). They will want to wait as long as possible before making a cut, otherwise they'll lose more money than necessary. If they happened to cut the price anytime soon, it could possibly mean introducing a new SKU that is cheaper to produce(a smaller one, like with all previous consoles?). That, or maybe they aren't losing too much after all (I doubt it).
To put it short, they won't cut the price soon. April is the earliest they might do it and even then I guess they're trying to postpone the cut until 45 nm.
Oh, and BD will stay unless they really plan to change. That would basically mean putting a lot more emphasis on digital distribution and also sort of giving up BD. Right now they need to push BD.
