What did people expect when its called excitebots? Fact is Nintendo make great games for all audiences, they are experienced at making kids games better than anyone else, they didn't sell many of the original.

Except apparently the core gamers. The ones who stuck by the company and invested in thier products during N64/GC era when Sony & MS stole the show. The last core game was Disaster: Day of Crises which nintendo didn't even bother promoting or marketing and may not even see a US release. The last proper title was Super Smash Bros Brawl (Mario Kart is a 'bridge' title tbh, not really core or expanded but a happy medium, like Animal Crossing). Re-releasing GC games don't count because to core gamers thier old news and a further sign Nintendo would rather rerelease then attempt innovation or risk by doing any form of core game. Making games for a new 'expanded' audience is fine and good, but they're not the only audience. Nintendo seems to be forgetting that.
