This thread poses interesting and complex questions.

I don't really know what to think about Nintendo, or the video game industry anymore. I love my Wii. I play it often, and have found that in a lot of games, the motion controls really add to the immersion and interactivity. That said, the third party support up to this point has been indisputably lacking. And I don't really know whose "fault" that is.

Nonetheless, I'm glad that Nintendo came out with the Wii. It complicated things-- threw a monkey wrench into the industry. I think decades from now this will generation will be considered important, or at least notable.

Which brings me to a point I've been thinking a lot about lately: This generation is hugely transitional. Nintendo was by no means the only company to ever introduce motion controls to gaming, but they are the only one who did it successfully--and on such a large scale. I can't help but feel/hope that next generation will be different ... or at least have fewer devs, publishers, and gamers trying to make sense of whatever the hell Nintendo is trying to do.

I'm still scratching my head. The way things are now, everything I thought I knew was wrong.
