Pristine20 said: Only RE has succeeded movie-wise that I can think of. I think the latest one flopped too. Capcom is overdoing it nowadays. They release the sames games over and over (nothing wrong with that for a vg co.) but then they decide to release credit cards and movies again? lol. |
Capcom doesn't really have anything to do with the movies..I think they give it a green light, but afterward, I think the company that makes the movies (Screen Gem, owned by Sony Pictures) has more to do with the movies.
The resident evil movies are the 4th (Apocalypse), 5th (Extinction) and 7th (RE) highest grossing zombie movies.

These are based on US numbers specifically..WW totals in comparison are as followed...
Resident Evil - $40 mil (US), $102 million (WW)
Resident Evil: Apocalypse - $51 million (US), $129 million (WW)
Resident Evil: Extinction - $50 million (US), $147 million (WW)
Sorry, most of this is agreeing with you and praising the Resident Evil movies for actually being decent movies. :)

Thanks for clarifying. The RE movie I was talking about is Degeneration. I think capcom made that one but I'm not sure.

man what you talking about, degeneration sucked hard balls, story was lame, leon was lame (the whole love thing, lame) and it was animated soooo poorly.
moving on, i'm not going to watch that movie or at least pay to watch it. Want them to stop making VG movies or atleast make it right!
only good SF movie is SF alpha hands down. SF alpha generation sucked balls, SF2 the movie was alright.
