Look at the last generation. Halo was synonymous with the original XBox and just about every early adopter of the 360 was a Halo fan so Halo 3 was guaranteed to have an incredible attach rate. Gears was a AAA shooter with one of the greatest marketing campaigns ever and appealed to the built-in Halo audience.
On the other hand, you can't really identify any game or IP that had universal ownership on the PS2 (and certainly not a multiplayer FPS). Killzone 2 is going to sell well, but you can't expect it to put out stratospheric numbers because PS3 owners aren't universally going to jump at a FPS, no matter how great it is. Arguably, if you're a hardcore FPS fan, you already own a 360 for that fix.
