X360 is an American centred console.... and apart from JRPGs like Final Fantasy etc, Americans have the most 1st week heavy buying habits.
As for total sales, that is mostly a userbase issue, remember the lead the PS3 has in Japan doesn't mean much for the list of games you mentioned, so the sales gap is even larger.
